What are the image upload guidelines for the best DTF print results?

To ensure your prints come out sharp and vibrant, please follow these image submission guidelines:

  • All images must be at least 300 DPI. This ensures clear, professional-quality prints.
  • We accept PNG, SVG, and JPEG files. For gang sheet orders, only PNG files are allowed.
  • Avoid enlarging smaller images (e.g., scaling a 3” image to 9”)—this can cause blurriness or pixelation even if the DPI remains 300.
  • Slight color shifts may occur when your design is converted for DTF printing. This is normal and expected with CMYK processing.
  • Please remove backgrounds or use transparency if you don’t want the background printed.
  • Do not mirror your design—we’ll handle that for printing.
  • Use at least 7.5px (or 0.25") for thin lines and small fonts to make sure they print cleanly and hold ink properly.
  • For optimal results, avoid using glow effects, soft edges, gradients, or neon tones—these can print poorly or inconsistently with DTF.
  • We do not alter, correct, or edit your files. Spelling, sizing, placement, and image quality are the customer's responsibility.

What is DTF printing, and why is it a great option?

DTF (Direct-to-Film) printing is a modern technique that allows vibrant, detailed designs to be printed on a special film and then transferred onto garments using a heat press. Unlike HTV, there's no need for weeding, and application takes only seconds. DTF works on cotton, polyester, blends, and more—making it perfect for producing retail-quality apparel quickly and affordably.

How does the DTF printing process work?

Once your design is uploaded, we print it onto transfer film and ship it to you. To apply it, place the film on your garment, use a heat press at the correct temperature and time, and your design is ready—no complex steps or equipment required.

Can I request custom sizes for my DTF prints?

Yes! When you upload your artwork, you can specify the exact size you need for your transfer. Custom sizing helps you fit designs perfectly onto your products.

How do I prepare my artwork for the best results?

Submit your design at 300 DPI in PNG, SVG, or JPEG format. PNG is required for gang sheets. Avoid enlarging smaller images, as this can reduce quality. Use transparent backgrounds, and don’t mirror your artwork—we’ll handle that for you.

What is a gang sheet, and how does it work?

A gang sheet is a large sheet containing multiple designs laid out together. It maximizes material usage and saves money by allowing you to print several images at once.

How do I make sure my design is 300 DPI?

To reach 300 DPI, multiply your desired print dimensions (in inches) by 300. For example, a 10x10" design should be 3000x3000 pixels to meet the DPI requirement.

What design features should I avoid when creating DTF transfers?

Avoid using neon glows, soft edges, gradients, or transparency effects. These can print unpredictably. Also, keep thin lines and small fonts above 7.5px or 0.25" to ensure full ink coverage.

What makes Glitter DTF different?

Glitter DTF uses a sparkly overlay on your entire design. Your original colors show through, but with added shine. Application is the same as regular DTF, making it an easy way to add sparkle.

What are Gold Foil Transfers?

Gold Foil prints your entire design in metallic gold. While you can submit multi-color art, only gold will be printed. It's perfect for making logos or text pop with a luxurious metallic effect.

How do Glow-in-the-Dark Transfers work?

These transfers add a glow coating to your entire design. Lighter colors glow more vividly, while darker ones glow less. It’s a fun, unique option for costumes, night events, or themed apparel.

What are Reflective Transfers?

Reflective Transfers apply a shiny, light-reflective layer over your design. Colors will appear slightly muted but will reflect light—ideal for athletic wear, safety gear, or design accents.

What are Iridescent Transfers?

Iridescent Transfers give your design a color-shifting effect that changes with angle and lighting. They're perfect for dynamic visual highlights and work just like standard DTF transfers.

What are Thermochromic Transfers?

These transfers respond to temperature. The design appears gray until heat brings the colors to life—ideal for swimwear, summer apparel, or adding an interactive element to clothing.

What are Pearl Transfers?

Pearl Transfers add a shimmering blue-green layer to your design. While similar to iridescent, the pearl effect is stronger but with fewer color shifts. Great for adding a classy holographic touch.

How is DTF pricing calculated at Results DTF?

Pricing is based on the total square inches of your design. As you upload and size your artwork, our system calculates a custom price automatically.

Do you offer bulk discounts?

Yes! We offer tiered pricing so the more transfers you order, the more you save—perfect for large production runs or frequent buyers.

Can I order blank shirts and DTF transfers together?

Absolutely. You can add both to your cart, though they may ship separately. We try to time deliveries so both items arrive as close together as possible.

What’s the turnaround time for DTF orders?

We produce and ship most DTF orders within one business day. Fast processing and shipping ensure you get your transfers quickly.

Do you offer free shipping?

Yes! Orders over $59 qualify for free shipping within the U.S.

No, transfers are delivered as full sheets. You will need to cut them to size before application.

How do I apply DTF transfers from Jiffy Transfers?

Recommended: Use a commercial heat press.
Steps:

  • Align transfer and press based on material type:
    Cotton/Blends: 300–320°F for 10–15s

  • Peel film after 10 seconds (hot, warm, or cold peel).
  • Re-press with parchment for matte or Teflon for glossy finish (5–10s).
Care Tips: Wash inside out, cold water, no bleach or softener. Tumble dry low. Do not iron or dry clean.
